Universal Waste Program

Green Works Environmental Services Inc. designs and operates collection programs for regulated Universal Wastes.  Universal Wastes are specifically designed consumer based wastes that have specific collection requirements with the goal of reducing the regulatory burden on business and communities in California, while promoting proper recycling, treatment, and disposal. Universal Wastes are designated at both the state and local level and include mercury thermostats batteries, pesticides, fluorescent lights and latex paint.

Universal waste programs provide greater collection and recycling opportunities for communities and small businesses. These collection programs serve as a independent or “stand alone” program or they can be integrated into your household waste program.

Green Works universal waste programs whether you are designing a new program or looking for guidance on improving your existing program. Green Works experts will review the community or business needs, budgetary considerations, and program objectives.  Green Works will then provide program alterations that will promote public education, community outreach, and site evaluation.  Green Works will assist you with the program roll out to the community or business.

Green Works will provide routine scheduled pick up at your location or operated on an on call basis. Green Works can coordinate one day collection events in your municipality targeted specifically for Universal wastes.
